1. About this policy

This Cookie Policy explains how HeadStart uses cookies and similar technologies on its website and digital services. It should be read alongside the HeadStart Privacy Notice.

2. What cookies are

Cookies are small text files or similar technologies placed on or accessed from your device when you use a website or digital service. They can support essential functionality, remember choices, help understand how a service is used and support improvements.

3. Types of cookies we may use

Strictly necessary cookies are used where required for core functions such as security, authentication, account access, subscription processes and remembering privacy choices. These cannot always be switched off because the service may not function correctly without them.

Analytics and performance technologies may be used to understand how visitors and members use HeadStart, which pages or features are useful, where users encounter difficulties and how the service can be improved.

Functionality technologies may remember choices or enable enhanced features.

Where marketing or advertising technologies are introduced, they will be used only in accordance with applicable consent requirements.

4. Third-party technology

HeadStart's technology platform is provided with support from Ningi Limited. Ningi's contractual sub-processor arrangements include providers that may support hosting, analytics, communications, AI and other platform functions. The precise cookies and similar technologies active on the live HeadStart service may change as functionality develops.

HeadStart will maintain its live cookie-consent tool and cookie information so that it reflects the technologies actually deployed on the website and platform.

5. Your choices

Where consent is required, non-essential cookies will not be activated until you make a choice through the cookie-consent mechanism. You can accept or reject relevant categories and can change your preferences later through the cookie settings available on the website.

You can also control cookies through your browser settings, although blocking necessary technologies may affect how the service works.

6. Changes

We may update this policy when the technologies used by HeadStart change or when legal requirements develop. The latest version will be available on the HeadStart website.
